Some immunizations are required three months before you leave, so see your doctor or travel clinic well in advance. Suggested immunizations for Thailand are Hepatitis A, Typhoid Fever and Tetanus. You may also want to consider Hepatitis B, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, Tuberculosis and Diphtheria. Visit the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention for more information.

The North Andaman is not malarial. Taking precautions against mosquitoes, however, is never a bad idea. To protect yourself, wear long sleeves and trousers. Bring plenty of mosquito spray and use it liberally. Contact your accommodation directly to enquire if a mosquito net is provided, if not, you may want to bring your own along with some string to tie it up.

It is recommended that you purchase travel insurance, which includes medical emergencies, before leaving your country. Some activities, like diving, aren't covered, so ensure your policy covers all the activities that you are planning to do.
