Helping Out - Conservation

Conservation Trips

Communities in the North Andaman are successfully connecting conservation to tourism. Activities vary from village to village, and may include mangrove conservation, rare water lily conservation and environmental education with youth groups.

The rafting groups of Nakha and Ban Na welcome you for a leisurely float - learn about how they are countering threats, and support their river protection efforts.

Other tourism clubs that are active in conservation include: Ban Lion, Ban Talae Nok, Ton Kloy, and Muang Kluang.

To get more intimately involved, join with Naucrates as a volunteer to help out with local conservation efforts, including sea turtle conservation, post-tsunami mangrove restoration, and sea grass monitoring.
